Mica peak
« on: August 17, 2013, 09:16:12 AM »
I was wondering if someone can clear up my question. I heard that mica peak was closed for hunting. The inland empire paper company doesn't show a map of this area anymore, so is it completely closed?  Or better question, can I still hunt their property for deer and elk? All the land up their I believe is empire land so I'm really confused. Thanks in advance

I do know they said no motorized vehicles so maybe that policy got rumored into no hunting. Not sure

There is alot of IEP property that isn't on their maps. To the best of my knowledge it is closed to motorized use, but not to any other recreational use. And all their land is closed to snowmobile's. Their website does not mention any other closures.
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is who you actually are while your reputation is merely who others think you are.

Thanks for te info. I was hoping I could still hunt it. I I know in the past they had a good map of the area. I now hunt so at least no one will hear me if its closed ;)

Go to: www.iepco.com and click on the Resource Management Inc  ( I think that's it ) They run ALL the access permits for IEP and she'll give you the straight scoop.

Good luck. Also, most of their land is ATV friendly, but you need the permit.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............
