first triple yote call in, one bear hung up
« on: August 18, 2013, 05:16:44 PM »
Went out calling this morning, called in my first triple yotes. Bear, or what i think was a bear was coming in at the same time...branches busting etc...he hung up in the tree line...and vanished once a motorcycle came busting through. :bash: still fun. Yotes came in to twenty yards before they smelled me and busted. Yotes came in at 45 min mark

I only got a decent look at them from about 200 yards or so..when they came in close, the brush was to thick..saw them running at bout 50 yards. I would say all three were this years pups...but can't be sure.

I was calling yotes one day and had a dark cinnamon bear come in like a freight train! I was watching a fresh cut field in front of me and 400 yards out over the field came this bear on a dead run along a logging rd, like he was on a string straight to me. Seeing bear wasn't open and I was shooting a .223 bolt rifle and had a Glock .40 as a side arm. I stopped calling and when I did, he stopped. So I called again and he started running towards me, I stopped and he stopped. I did this several times until I got him to the edge of the field I was across. The distance between us was a 150 yards or so, I then would  squeal real short here and there, he wouldn't get any closer. He would just pace back and forth and stand on his hind feet and look.
