I could of sworn the paper regs said opening day was Oct. 14. everybody was complaining about opening day being Monday. My antlerless tag reads from Oct 14 to........Now I pull up the Regs online and it says opening day is the 12. I'm at work so I can't check my paper regs. until midnight to see if I misread something. If my paper tag says Oct. 14 to the 22 I'm certainly not shooting one on the 12th. Was there a change?

No, no trophy. Just meat. I wonder what I was looking at. Guess I can hunt grouse until Monday, or maybe find a Whitetail. Got a couple mulie does all staked out, but I'd rather get a Whitetail. Trick is shooting them on a hill so they tumble into the back of the truck... Thanks for the clarification.

General rifle deer season opens the first Saturday after October 10th. If the 10th is on a Saturday then the season will open the following Saturday. This year it opens on the 12th.

Did you ever get a chance to look your paperwork over again and verify the dates? My OTC deer tag shows its valid from the day I purchased it to 3/31/2014 and my antlerless deer permit says valid from Oct 12 to 31st.

Curious to see if you read it wrong or it was maybe a misprint that might need to get fixed??

More than likely yes on waiting till 14 on doe tag, depends on what you applied for and the dates of your special tag

Late blacktail season opens on Nov 14th, do you think you looked at the wrong line?

What GMU? I didn't see any doe hunts in the regs starting on the 14th. Most open on Oct. 12th.

I scanned through them as well and didn't see any with Oct 14th either.

What hunt #is it for?

There are some permit hunts that start Nov 14th though....

It was the disabled special drawing for the ALTA unit........ Game dept. is sending me another card that says the 12th..... It was a guy at work that got me started on this whole 14 thing, he mentioned it to me, I looked at my Anterless tag {which DOES say the 14} and started planning accordingly. I'm supposed to be sent another tag with the right info.

Everythings better. Doe tag, 9 day season......So my buddy points out a couple deer at his saltlicks about 50 yards from his front deck. He said "Just spend the night here and shoot one of these. I've got 8 does and 2 bucks on my mountain side." He's got em everything but tied up. He doesn't hunt anymore...... I declined. I've waited all year to hunt. My wife can't drive a stick so I told him he's driving me around for a couple days to get a deer. Like I want to shoot his pet......May be hold out a piece of bread and shoot it when it leans in....... Jeeze. So don't chase all the does off the back roads in the Methow, I just want one....... Preferably not someones pet....... Grain fed pet.

I got a Doe tag, you can have the bucks. I'll probably wait until the 14th or 15th anyway. The crowds will thin out and there's Doe everywhere
