is there any deer open right now? found 2 carcasses today

i stopped at taylor mtn passing by this evening and at a gate there was 2 carcasses. i dont see anything open in the book at all, were these poached?

Had a buddy ask if elk was open. he had tribal guys in his shop with 2 elk this morning.  that will be good meat with this heat...

Ran into that before. 4 guys shooting mulies  if the winter range from their truck when there were no seasons open.  Only shot the biggest ones that they did not have to work too hard to get back to the truck. Game officer could care less, just figured it was some guys on winter vacation from Yakima.

We have to select a weapon choice and then hunt a limited season and it doesn't bother you that they hunt with whatever they please from summer threw winter, not to mention every other month if they have a tribal reason? I'm not here to jump on another tribal bashing thread but a little equality would be nice......

that night i turned it in to wdfw, an officer just call me and said they were actually elk calfs, very small and consisted of 3 heads, 2 carcasses n rib cages, and only 1 hoof so they are sure it was a dump site from being poached, not natives hunting in there.

and on a different note he said the bear numbers there this year on that hill are VERY low hardly anything spotted this year they seem to have migrated across the road so get your bows n smoke poles and head that way

Well, the only problem I don't have is if the season starts Aug 21 (or 26th as the case may be) then I don't see anything wrong with them shooting some animals.  But yes, there are lots of things the natives do that I have a problem with.

I'm glad WDFW investigated.  I sure would have preferred that the carcasses were from legal kills by natives than poached animals.  That sucks.

This phony, pseudo-nation, racist nonsense needs to end.  If they want to be landlocked (mostly) separate nations then fine, put up borders and require passports and pay your own taxes.  Then they can make up their own immigration/citizenship rules too.  Although if what I suspect would happen did, I wouldn't tolerate racist nations as neighbors.

Retaining race-based special priveleges cannot work long term.  It's already fraudulent.

Seems I started something with my comment.  I was merely pointing out that if the natives were responsible for the found carcasses, it shouldn't be that big of a deal if they were following their laws.  If their season had started, then I wouldn't find it so odd or troubling to see some carcasses.  I was trying to point out that our season starts soon too; plus, there are already Master Hunter seasons in some areas starting in August.

(Now, as to the question about native rights being fair............ I'll save that for another thread.)  It's pointless to turn this thread into a native bashing thread since it has been determined that the animals in question are likely poached and NOT native kills.
