HELP!! Need T/C Firehawk Striker handle!!!!
« on: September 09, 2013, 08:13:46 PM »
Was at the range shooting yesterday (getting ready for my limited draw bull hunt on Oct. 1) and the striker handle on my Thompson Center Fire Hawk sheered right off.

I called T/C and they're sending me a new one, but not in time.

I've scoured the internet some.   Can't find any in stock.

Anybody got good source or other thoughts?

(crap!!!!!!!!)

Thanks,

Dan

P.S.   The striker handle is the thing you pull back with your finger.   I imagine it's the same part for a Black diamond.....

Did  a quick check looks like a proprietary part, got a mom and pop machine shop near? If you still have the piece in the bolt carrier they should be able to make one in minutes or a gun shop but they will take time. If I had access to a lathe it could be made in SS.  :twocents:
Good luck, that is why I stay with side locks

Thanks.

I broke my side lock, too (years ago).   I must just be hard on muzzle loaders.
