there oughta be a law!!!!
« on: October 25, 2008, 10:13:09 PM »
how close to the property line is too close????

well opening morn I hit the same place I hunt every year. it is a pretty decent percentage spot thanks to the neighboring land owners managing it for habitat. I know the land owners pretty well, but do not hunt with them....once was enough. Today they drive up to my pard woh is a strong 500 yds from the prop line and start ripping his ass talking about jumping him and all the silliest crap you can think of. ironically they were not on there own property, but felt they had the right to guard it from the public land side.....nice. I wish I had been there, I had my camcorder on me and I surely would have taped it (and me feeding mouth his teeth) and called the law for harrasing a sportsman. I imagine it would be enough to have their master hunter cards pulled.

I am fed up to the point that I might haul dave workman up to the area that I have killed most of my elk just keep the area pounded.

I am fed up with slobs. it sure was nice to be on a mule deer hunt where the only other guy I saw was my pard....this is rediculous.

I can't imagine waiting all year to go yell at people that get close to your property. if you are that guy, you sir are an *censored*.

Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Heck, I would keep the video on you and keep hunting it.  Keep your hand gun close as well.  Talk is cheap and most are all talk.  There is nothing the property owner can do...  Just keep the video recorder as close to you as possible.  If I was you, I would hunt with a buddy or family member that would be even better.  Just be careful not to bring your wife when she has PMS that is a recipe for disaster.

If you give up on it and want to provide the ultimate payback.  The next time you go up take pictures and then post on as many hunting sites of the location, how to get there, post the pictures with were the animals travel etc.   They will have sooooo many people up there they will not know what to do!  Then keep it up every year or until your get tired of paying it back.  It is up to you as to your humor and what kind of karma you what to produce.

Gotta love stupid people.  I can see hunting within yards of a fence causing some discomfort...maybe.  But 500 yards - completely out of line.
