I am going to try some this year.. May lightly rattle abit this sept. I have tried abit over the years and with no luck. These bucks spend their whole life in the mts. No ag fields for 15 miles .

Yep, two different animals, almost like a sub-specie.......mountain whitetails and ag whitetails......some really big bad bucks in those mountains.  We've found sheds at 5k ft in the past, big ones.  Alot in the 4k range.  I actually prefer the mountain deer.

:yeah:  I read an article on "How to Find a Big Whitetail Buck" or something like that and one of the biggest tips was to glass all the alfalfa fields in the mid summer months when deer don't feel threatened so you can locate the big bucks.

:dunno: :dunno: that doesn't work for me?  If you guys find an alfalfa field at 4,000 feet in Ferry County let me know
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.
