Very exciting day 5
« on: September 07, 2013, 10:26:48 AM »
I took a shot at a 4x4 and under shot.  I was leaning over a log at my hips to try to get around a jack fir.  Let it go and undershot...

Then 40 min later I bumped the big dawg in the thick trash at 10 yards.  IT WAS SOOOOO much fun.  I did not blow them out so I am back this evening.

That was so fun...

Now it is time for some yard work.

Good to hear someone is seeing stuff I had a good first couple days than it went dead for me I am going to try a different area I researched, but haven't hunted tonight.  If that doesn't work I am going to try a setup on some new property I just purchased that we will be building on this winter.

I still have enough meet to keep me through the year but I will have to get a deer.  So I am just hunting that big one.

If I needed meat I would not be hunting another location.  LOTS of bulls...  just nothing big...

Spent the evening hunt watching 8 cows for the last 1.5 hours of light.  ONLY at the point where I was packing up to slip out did I hear a bugle, then another.

Very frustrating...
