New Swiss K-31!
« on: September 11, 2013, 03:04:45 PM »
I've had the bug for a while, and finally found a nice K-31 for the right price  :IBCOOL: Made in 1944, all matching (including the stock). Figured I'd share some pics! Now I just need to get some ammo and shoot it!

Looks good. I hear the k-31 is pretty accurate with cast bullets according to the CBA.

Pull the butt plate and see  if the original owners name tag is still there.  Makes for an interesting read if it is.

Unfortunately there is no troop tag under the butt plate... I already looked  :'( From the markings I've figured out that the soldier chose to keep the rifle upon retirement, and probably removed the tag at that point.

That is a nice looking rifle there!  I have one as well, they are VERY accurate with the GP-11 surplus ammo, I'm working to develop a load for mine that shoots to the same point.  Also one of the outfitters markets Hornady loads for various military rifles....at WWW.Grafs.com there is Hornady, Ruag GP-11 surplus and Prvi Partizan ammo for your rifle.  Also do a google search for GP-11 ammo, lots out there.

Whatta ya mean I can't have one of each?

What we have here is...Washington Department of NO Fish and WATCHABLE Wildlife.
