Eastern WA Birds?
« on: October 22, 2008, 10:15:35 AM »
I live north of Spokane, and there were lots of ducks and a decent amount of geese flying.  In the past few days they are gone.
Is it the weather?  Is it just a lull between migrating flocks?  Is anybody else noticing this?

I was by Elokia [sp] Lake yesterday, and saw ton's of bird's on the lake....  of corse they were all around the boat dock's  :(   I'm beginning to think the best duck decoy, would be a plastic blow-up porable boat dock.. :chuckle:

we've slowed down quite a bit over here in cheney.

Had two shots at two birds...in 3 hours.  Don't know whats going on but I think it could be the weather 60 degrees sunny with no rain or wind will do that to em.
That's why it's called hunting and not killing.

Northerns have not started to show and the local ducks are shot up and call shy. Slowest time of the duck season right now. It will pick up in a week or two when the migration hits.
