...want's wait to see what happens
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Passed on some small bulls.  Had a bull videos and hot for first day, but went in there to hunt him and talked to some other hunters who called him and educated him instead of leaving him alone.  Had a wolf come in and sounded like he had a standoff with another bull I was after.  My help went home so I came home for a couple days to regroup.  Heading back up on Wednesday I think!  Covered a ton of ground by foot and truck.  Definately earning this moose if and when it hits the dirt!

Just keep at it. I just hunted 49N. Passed on a bunch of small ones too. There are a lot of moose out there, it'll happen. I don't know anything about Selkirk so I can't suggest locations but I found more moose in old clearcuts at left 2-3 times as tall as a moose. Get above or below them where you can see into the openings and glass, glass, glass. You'll only see them when the move thru the openings so stay awhile. You're going to need a solid exit strategy if your help isn't going to be with you. I planned on staying very close to the road after my help was going home.

Been close.  Heading back Wednesday or Thursday.  Going to have to stay close to the road now as my help all had to go back to work. FYI Selkirk is very thick.  Had a few into 20 yards and I couldn't see em.  I'm sure your unit was the same.

Moose love the thick stuff. Our rule was if we could see thru it, we went to where we could see into it. If we couldn't see into it, we went somewhere else.  I'll bet 75% of the moose or more are shot very close to the roads or right on them. We saw multiple gut piles very close when we moved to different locations and passing points. You'll get em.

If you get in a bind, post up and ask for help. The guys on this board are great at helping out if they can. Reading some of those posts restored my faith in humanity.

:yeah:
if you need help and ask, I'll come running if I can get away from work and if you're in selkirk you're in my stomping grounds so wouldn't take me long to get there. many weightlifters who work out in our facility love to hunt too. bet they'd come help if asked, strong buggers but not much for cardio!
