This happens quite a bit in New Mexico. When I was guiding down there you would hear about it quite a bit. We would have 2 or 3 illegally shot on our ranches every year(fair chase, not high fence). What a shame!!!

I was stationed at Ft. Bliss in El Paso, Tx for a while. We did a hunt on some BLM land up in New Mexico near Rio Dosa for mule deer. We came around a corner up there and found a huge gut pile and the head of a Hereford bull next to the road! I wonder if they tagged it?

Your right Bone! the way the points grew out and then seem to go straight up I don't think I have ever seen that. That's one of those animals anyone would have just loved to see walking in the wild. Hunting it or not
