Congrats man. Nothing corny about they at all. Bet you won't get caught with your release off again.

That's a heck of an accomplishment right their now  if you can sneak up on a RUFFED GROUSE you can sneak up on anything ...90% of the time ruffed grouse will not stick around long enough for a shot with a bow ...good job  :kneel:

No joke. I was expecting it to be a blue. Good work, Smossy.

Thank's guys! There was quite a few more out there but like I said I wasn't fast enough for those, and one that left its self exposed was on a branch I could of shot but It would have been a for sure arrow loss and hard recovery because it was on a downward sloping hill with thick brush. Was surprised that one I shot even went anywhere, I hit low and it ripped through the stomach area and It still flew off about 15 yards with its legs hanging. Thought I might have broke some legs but they looked fine when I cleaned it.

Do you guys usually meat out the legs to? Or just the breast?

Just the breast

Grouse field dressing a Grouse
Yeah that's what I did, same technique. I just noticed the legs had alittle meat on them, I tossed it anyways.
