I just bought a "Flextone Bone Collector Buck Collector Grunt Wheeze Deer Call" not to long ago. I have been trying to practice calls, but I have not yet used it in the field.

I am interested to see if others use any deer calls as well and what success they have had.

A doe bleat has worked well for me several times. Maybe a few grunts thrown in. Late season of course.

Best call I have is the Hunters Specialties True Talker. Does everything from a fawn bleat to the  crankiest buck grunt. Works no matter what the weather too. Some of the others I have tried don't work to well when it's really cold.

haven't use it to call any in blind but i have a Jones Deer Call that will stop on in their tracks...its black about 3" long and when seeing deer will have them actually take a couple steps closer to me when blown.   had a 2x3 a couple weeks ago that was standing behind a pile of slash and when i blew it he took a couple steps toward me and stood on a mound broadside at 51 yards...unfortunately the wife's shot went high and we didn't get him...really made me a beliver
beer---it's whats for dinner

I really like doing fawn bleats, early and late season. I have had does nearly run over me. The last of regular season and during the late season throw in a few buck grunts, but I have called in mature bucks in early season using only fawn bleats. Don't over call. I use two or three fawn bleats and a buck grunt or two and wait 5-10 minutes before repeating. Favorite calls are open reed calls like a Critter Call in standard or peewee size. The best luck on white tail.

I have used a Lohman reed call for Sitka Blacktails and had it work, but have only witnessed one Mule doe come to a call and no Whitetail in 20 years guess I must be doing something wrong  :dunno:

just called in a whitetail doe couple days ago (with fawns in tow) using a fawn distress call on the foxpro, and a fawn decoy.  man was she checking it out, really sneaky peeking her head through the young pines.  i really wanted to switch it over to a loud wolf pack howl real quick and watch her bolt.  i think next time i will
