could be, might be, could be close with a tape measure... you dont shoot at something that unsure.  not good enough for me anyway.  if its that close, that much of a question as to whether it may BARELY qualify as being legal you dont shoot it.

no way are those browtines an inch.  if it wasnt for the crab claw that would legally be a 2x2

And somebody with a 2x2 tag would be busted because of the little crab claw  point that you might not see???

its still a 3pt min area for general, so does the special tag say 2x2 ONLY?  i really doubt thats the case but i could be wrong.  either way it all comes down to know your target.  dont just shoot something and HOPE its legal.  if you cant be positive hold your trigger finger in check

I also wanted to say I have a neighbor that use to have horses and rode this country and after this 3 point rule came into affect he found several 2x2 that had been shot and I can only say we GUESS that some one shot them figuring with a rack like that they just had to have the 3rd point but didn't and just walked away to let them rot!!!!!!

Deaner if you get draw for one of the 25 2x2 that's what it means not a 2x1 or a 2x3 but a 2x2 otherwise I think they'd say 2x or better

Deaner I miss read your post and I'm sorry. Went back and looked at the regs and you're right during the reguakr muzzey season a 2x3 would be legal but after the reg season it would have to be a 2x2. Just like drawing an any bull tag you could shoot a spike but in this case after the 6th you could only shoot a 2x2 . I guess that untill the 6th it gives you the option of shooting a 2x2 and still being legal???

1st off REALLY NICE BUCK but you got a scope and it don't look like a muzzleloader so I think it don't count in this thread. No dought he meets the 3 point but we're talkin about open sites and under 1 inch points and seeing them then seeing if they have enough points...

Its a Traditions Strikerfire .50cal muzzleloader.

Always have a good set of binos on you. That was a new mexico buck and they must have at least 2 points to be legal.
