Last Summer, the WDFW warned some boaters that they had to meet the Federal Boating Regulations regarding registration numbers and so on even if they were under 16' and had an outboard of less than 10 horsepower. Upon checking with the WDFW, US Coastguard in Bellingham and Seattle, the USFS in Sedrow Woolley and the Whatcom County Marine Division, no one could say positively that Baker Lake is a Federal Water. The WDFW is the only one who says it is because it is in the Mount Baker National Forest. And I thought it would be easy to find the answer!
