I haven't hunted out there for a couple years. It's a pheasant release area and looks like great habitat for rabbits. Lots of grass and blackberry bushes.
I'm curious if anyone hunting out there has seen any.

it has some cotton tail, i run my beagles there, seems to hold a few in the thick briar patches, and a few around the corn fields, not as good as you would think, but there are some. will be running there this weekend actually...

I've killed a couple on the Shillapoo side, mostly past the Vancouver Lake park on the left side of the straightaway.

If we have some good weather, I'll probably be there this weekend too. I've only hunted on the Shillapoo side a couple of times. I might try there too.

Never had much luck at Vancouver lake. Then again never used dogs either. That could be the game changer

@Blacklab: You aren't the first person to tell me that I need a dog there. I don't have one. I guess it's a good thing that I enjoy walking the fields irrespective of whether I bring some rabbits home or not.
I've been told that there is some good rabbit hunting in Washougal or Stevens on logging roads. I don't know where they are though.
