if i were to be successful with my elk tag this year, would there be interest in the cape?  my house is not elk shoulder mount friendly (low ceilings) so a european is more likely...

They're usually posting "want to buy capes" ads on here. I'd say yes.

Have you seen the mounts that are on a stand .... you may want to look into your different options before you cut up the cape..... you don't need a high wall for any mount....

I buy capes.  Typical elk cape is around $125.  It has to be caped correctly.

i love a pedestal mount, but my 'trophy room' is my dining room, and there's no room at the inn!     i figure a euro for the time being, and when the kids are gone or i get a bigger house (and win the lottery), i'll do a shoulder on a purchased cape.

Depending on what you tip over your Euro may have the brow tines at about waist level!!

You could always get your cape tanned and save it for later.

Don't need Cow or Doe capes.  Buck and Bull only.  No spikes or tiny rag horns.
