Scent Control
« on: October 06, 2013, 11:34:54 AM »
I removed all my gear from the shed and pressure washed in the driveway. After checking for damage and making repairs I stacked them in the garage. I was in the garage this weekend working on "honey-do's" and began wondering how much scent my traps were taking on.

Wondering what steps everyone else takes to control unwanted scents on your traps? I was thinking about stacking them outside and letting them air out for a week. Would this be enough?

If the traps are going underwater don't worry bout it unless there is oil on them. For land traps maybe, put some pine boughs in them or sagebrush. Freezing temps will help remove scents also.
