My lab sits and watches the geese fly over, and sniffs.

He is more than ready.

I have a new pup that has only been out on walks and training but loves the boat, he will jump in the boat in the drive way with his duck wing and sit there as if to say, hook this thing up and let's go!

Anticipation level is pretty high all around.

I have gotten so I wait to the last week to do a lot of my pre season preps. Exceptions are firearms & ammo and decoy prep.
This keeps me busy over the last week before the season starts,  I used to have everything ready right after labor day, but then all I would do is fidgit and drive my wife nuts.
Now I stay busy right up to the day before.

Oh yeah, Don't foget to get your Federal Stamp!
Spent most of my $$ on huntin, fishin & retrievin dogs, the rest I just pretty much wasted.

Driving the wife nuts just before the season opens has its advantages cause she is MORE than ready for the season to start so I can get out from under her feet and stop asking her to hold this and help me with that!
