My First WA Buck (4x3)
« on: October 14, 2013, 09:30:29 AM »
We spot this guy really far from us.went after him.got close, about 65-75 yards.pull the trigger and nothing happened i guess the primer was bad or something no idea why.the buck heard the click but kept standing looking.i quickly got another cartridge in and made a shot.this time was loud :).got him thru heart.not biggest buck but im happy.hes heavy tho, took both of us 2 long hours to drag him to the truck

Very cool!  Looks like a mature deer
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

That is a good size buck.  We ended up helping a nice young lady and her father drag a deer out of the CRP.  We could tell they were about done dragging out of exhaustion.  :chuckle:

That was nice of you Mallarddeath.   Always makes you feel good to help someone out.

Congrats on your nice Washington buck.   Those misfires always make you pucker.

Nice buck! Congrats!  If you gut them first it makes them lighter and easier to drag. At least it doesnt look like you gutted it. But maybe I'm wrong.

Nice buck! Did you get in a fight with some guy at the bar or your gun after the misfire? Looks like a little bit of a shiner under your left eye!
