First washington elk hunt

Hey everyone! I'm 17 years old and plan on going my first elk hunt with my dad this weekend. We were planning on going to the cowiche area near Yakima specifically along cowiche mill rd. I was wondering if anyone had ever hunted the area or had any advice on the area. Anything is very much appreciated because I am not able to scout much because of my football schedule. Thanks a lot everybody!
