Observatory A tag

Hunted the manastash unit up against the Peaches Ridge unit. Didn't see any big bulls but got a nice 5 point.

Nice elk, great photo. You obviously did not have an easy job getting that elk out of the woods with the terrian shown in the photo. Nice job!  ;)

Yes the scope got me. It is a 340 Weatherby that I bought from a buddy a few years ago when he moved away. I never wanted to go through the pain of siting it in, but decided to try it this year. I had no problem at the range but the scope cover Got me in the field. I shot the Elk on Tuesday morning the 21st. It had snowed a couple of inches Monday and we saw alot more activity Tuesday. After Tuesday the weather turned nice again and the Elk weren't moving as much.
