Lost a good friend
« on: November 23, 2013, 09:47:08 AM »
I'm going to a memorial service today for Gordon Steinmetz aka Big Wally. He passed last saturday. If you have walleye fished in eastern Washington and especially around banks lake, you probably knew Gordon. He was a good friend and will be missed.

Sorry to hear that.

I met him at his store.  Was a nice guy.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

That man has a legacy!  He was such a good fellow.  There was always an excuse to stop and go into that store.

I pray for his family.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

I visited with Gordy at his store during my Banks trips.  Booked a trip with Don one year after meeting both of them at one of the Puyallup sportsman shows.

A writeup on his death was on the front page of the local paper for Thursday.
