Late season archery east side along hwy 410. Need help.
« on: November 02, 2008, 11:55:26 AM »
I hunted last year archery late in the 352 unit. I found that most elk were already out of the area. Saw big bulls only, no cows or spikes. My question is does anyone know anything about elk area 3681 which is in the center of unit 368 cowiche ? I was going to try the nile again first but would like to have a back up plan. Elk area 3681 is lower but close to reservation. Any feed back would be much appreciated. Having passed up multiple cows in Sept due to a bull permit, I am willing to work hard & do what it takes to get my first archery elk. Thank, Mike

Or other area ?   Have camper, chains, snowmobiles, will travel. Mike

No, it is still open they just adjusted the boundaries so that they no longer included the van wyck ranch I believe. In the regulations it is listed as 3681. North and South Forks are still open.

It looks like they basically took away everything east of the power lines that run north-south through the unit, cutting the unit down about 40% (guess)

Thanks for the pms and all the info. Your advice was great and I will be up there implementing all of them. Heading up a couple days before the season and hunting through weekend. Thanks again. Mike
