I hunt the west side,no electronics for me.I find areas where water timber and brush all come together,im a close range hunter, mostly I go after bobs and it usally 20yrds to a few feet .I start low for the first few minutes{In case a bob is close, dont want to scream it away}then I will put the scream on for a few calls then back off and suffer.I will set for 45 mins for bobs, sometimes they dilly dally comming in,sometimes not. When im going for dogs 15 minutes no dog I move on.I put my back up against a stump or tree,Dont like suprises from behind it could make ya mess yourself,LOL.cross wind I like.I used to use a 270 with a corelok 130 grain.I only shoot head shots.I bought a 22mag from jwoot thats my new gun I put a 4power leupold on it works great,I get all my grouse with that now.I totally camo up light net on my face .I dont use the same patterned camo its all different.I think it breaks ya up better.I use only cottontail and jackrabbit which also works on deer and bears.hope this will help ya out, remember if your alone back yourself up to something. And have fun.

Used to call the wet side when I was running a truck out to the coast everyday.  I've been a little short of time the past few years and have headed over to the east for longer vacations hunting.  I'm retiring to the coast in a few weeks so will be hunting it alot more.

I run mouth calls, electrics and decoys, whatever the situation calls for.   I have a M-1 Bandit that takes little space, my rifle and shooting stix goes in a back scabard and my decoy is my walking stick.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

This is my first year down here in SW Washington trying to call coyotes.  I have only made a few stands with no luck so far other than an unknown visitor.  Will keep trying when there are less hunters in the woods.

I know were at least a few coyotes live really near buy kain, you would need a bow though. I am not to sure it would be legal then any how. I hear them quite a bit and have seen them on more than one occasion. I am afraid they might get one of our goats we have out back. anybody that might be interested?
