Last year I drew Peaches Ridge muzzy with 10 points. But heard through a friend that someone he knew of that drew the same tag this year with 2 points!!!!  :( Are you getting confused yet? This is not really answering your question rather just bringing up more huh????? It's Washington!

Last year I drew Peaches Ridge muzzy with 10 points.

Hmmm I may have to re-think switching to muzzleloader next year.  Thought I could draw that unit with less points than it took me for rifle.  I drew this year with 8 for rifle and the same in 2000 with 8 points

I was under the impression that it really depended on the area that you applied for -v- how many other hunters put in for same -v- quota the WDFW was allocating for that area by weapon.  Wrong?  :dunno:    + luck equation.

By time I get back from overseas assignment I will have 12 points, was looking to put in for the Blues and thought I'd have a pretty good shot for archery.

i know this will sound rediculous but...
i had 2 points, my brother had none and my dad had none.
and we put in as a group hunt and got drawn.  so we all got tags.
its all luck

So if you put in a group hunt, does the group leader need to get drawn for everyone to get their tags or just one of the members?
Any input?

You can read more on the WDFW website but I think group apps work like this....

"Person A" has 10 points. "Person B" has 5 points. These are averaged, so "Group AB" goes in with 7.5 points. Then they have the doubler, so "Group AB" has 15 cards in the drawing, and their cards go in as "Group AB", not as "Person A" and "Person B". So, they are being drawn as a group, not as one person or the other.
