I have heard that some bulls have been pretty actice into late Oct this year.

Anybody hear any elk bugling this late in the season?

I've heard them bugle over the years during modern in November a few times. It happens.

I had a huge 7x7 in my backyard yesterday pushing around cows, and raking the hell out of some cottonwoods.  Not the behavior I expect to see this time of year out of elk.

I located my bull this year because he and another bull were bugling at each other last Saturday.  It was pretty cool to hear them that late.

Heard at least 4 bulls bugling back and forth on Sunday, pretty cool stuff.

Heck I hear them bugling all year, I live where they do so have way more contact but I have heard bulls in spring practicing or they were lost it could go either way really :)

yes nov 1 2011 i saw bulls bugle. i have heard them nearly every month of the year :tup:
you cant eat the horns, but backstraps look like crap on my wall!!!!
