I saw elk every day. I ended up seeing 1 spike, 1 5 pt., 1 2x3 and various cows in the Cowiche. In the Bethel unit, my friend harvested a nice spike. I saw 1 more spike, a 4x4 bull, a 6x7 bull and about 40 cows. It did seem very slow for many camps but I was able to get after them. I was however in the deep big dark canyons. Never actually saw another hunter in the cowiche area where I was. I was hunting bear and trying to assist my brother in law in getting his cow. He never was able to harvest the cow. They seemed to allude him each time and walk right by me.
