I've been seeing lot of adds for Irish Setter rubbers. They have some sort of flex portion in the back built in to help put on and take off. Anybody got some input on them?

I have had my same pair of xtra truffs for about 10 years now. The best feature IMO of these boots is their non slip factor like other rubber boots, which is hugely important while working on an aluminum gill netter covered in fish slim or walking over slimy river rock. I think they are xtra tuffs II

When I fished in AK in the 90's I bought a pair and they lasted forever. I bought a pair about ten years ago in Westport and they were light and flimsy. The store owner told me they did not change, but it sure was not the same quality as the older ones.

There is a cheaper look a like for around half the price,don't be fooled and find the heavy duty ones they'll last 5 x as long

I need some new rubber boots and was thinking about ordering some xtra tuffs. Checked on Amazon and wow! The reviews are terrible. Maybe that's because these aren't the Xtra Tuff II's?

No, it's because those are the "Made in China" version... Honeywell purchased Xtratuf, closed down the plant in Illinois, and moved production to China.  From what I've heard the quality of the Chinese made boots is crap.  I've got two pairs of USA made boots, but when they wear out, there's no way I'm buying another pair of Xtratuf's.

I've had a pair for a couple of years and love them.  Better ankle support and a better sole design than Xtra Tuffs.  I fished commercially in Alaska for 14 years and have had quite a few pairs of Xtra Tuffs.  I've hiked all over in them from SE to the Alaskan Peninsula and used them for hunting for years, even in Washington.  However, there were too many times I would be slipping while on inclines and feeling it in my ankles while sidehilling.  They are great on the boats, but they have limitations when used as a hunting boot.

I got some for the wife out of the Cabelas bargain cave for a steal she hates rubber boots, but wears these when it's nasty with no complaints.  I just bought some under armor muck style boots recently they have been the most comfortable muck style boot I have purchased out of the box.

Very nice buck, I hunt bt's archery almost always from tree stands always in xtra tuffs. For tree stand or ground blind hunting I buy them 1.5 sizes large, uninsulated, wear thick wool socks with a poly liner and put felt insoles in them. I've never had my feet get cold on stand which is saying a lot because my feet always seem to get cold.

How many points did you have to draw that tag if you don't mind saying.

I just want to see more pictures of that buck I don't care about the dang boots. I saw three mashers killed over the weekend but with rifle tags, that thing is one of the biggest, certainly has the most character, the bases look incredible. Nice shooting

I used five points to draw this permit and I believe my friend also used five points to draw this permit. Alright, a few more.

Both of them are great bucks...archery to boot. Congrats to you both!
