Adding a rear bead to my shotgun
« on: November 03, 2013, 06:48:46 PM »
I was looked at some "how to" videos for adding a rear bead to the vent rib of my weatherby PA-08. It looks like i might get in over my head if i attempt to do this. any of you guys ever done it before? Or have any recommendations on a good gunsmith that can do this for me? What kind of price would i be looking at?

Thanks.

If you are talking about a mid bead. You can get them from MidwayUSA, Browenells etc. for about $10 or so it is not hard to do mine came with the drill and tap.

Yes, The mid bead. I seen the ones on Browenells and watched there video. It just makes me nervous drilling into my gun.

if you are nervous about drilling... you could do what I did for my 870, and just buy a couple of fiber optic clip on beads. I have red up front, green in mid.
When I pull up on a bird out in the duck blind (wearing waders and coat and stuff) if i see red, I know im not lined up.
