Another new guy! :)
« on: November 20, 2013, 11:10:19 AM »
Hey guys, I guess this is kind of like a introduction and a "where to go" post!

A little about myself, My names Cody, im 22, father of two beautiful girls. I have been an avid fisher my whole life, and have been hunting the last 8 years or so. My family use to have this huge camp up in Goldendale for the late archery hunt, we had 8-10 people with us, and all of the 'neighbors' through out the years became like family, Almost always the same people. Unfortunately we dont hunt there anymore (last 5 years or so) and my family started hunting up in Walla Walla area. Only problem with that is, as i got older and had to start working for a living, its hard to get enough time off to make the trip to walla walla worth it (From Kent, 98030)

Are there any places to hunt around 1-3, maybe 4 hours away? Like a weekend warrior type deal? I wont be able to hunt this year, but I definitely want to start scouting some areas for next years hunt.

Im interested in hunting deer / elk, either archery or modern firearm, im good with both :)
I'm Even trying to get into some bird hunting action too.

(Sorry if this is the wrong place, Im new the the forums)

Thanks a ton.

 :hello: Welcome, Cody.
Sure, there are all kinds of places to hunt that are within a few hours of Kent. There is state land, nat. forest land, and private timber co. land.
Search these forums, and you'll find some great info.
Good luck.

Cody -

I'm new to hunting the area myself. In the same boat with work as well. I've done a pretty good amount of research on some locations around here, just need to get out and see what they look like. Would be down to tag along scouting/split some gas money if you're interested. Lmk

I would be down for teaming up on some deer or waterfowl.  I have some spots on the eastside but would like to scout around here on the wetside.

I would be down as well.  Im new to the area as well.  Live in Seattle, originally from Utah.  Anybody going to be out scouting this Spring send me a message.  Modern firearm deer/elk for me.
