Capitol Forest
« on: November 26, 2013, 01:07:25 PM »
First time hunting western wa and am pretty set on heading down to 663 to try and fill my tag.

Planning on getting there early and hanging a set. Would love any advice on access points but really am just curious if anybody thinks this is the worst idea ever  :dunno:

Sorry, but I think that is the worst idea ever.

Don't hate me, but the "CF" is not what it once was. Hunters from Canada to Oregon drive to it, because it is state land, and generally not gated shut.

You will be joined by:
*brush pickers
*other hunters
*trash dumpers
*target shooters
*horse riders
*mountain bikers
*hikers
*tree huggers
*motorcycle enthusiasts
*mushroom pickers
*nature gawkers

In my opinion, I would buy some extra gas and head for any national forest land and hunt there if you are looking to hunt. You will probably experience a few less other users of the forest.

THANK YOU. Really appreciate that reply.

No expectations on seeing much game with as little time I've had to scout but I'd rather be by myself with no game then be surrounded by anyone in the categories you listed.
