Thanks for all the texts guys.  1morebuck came out and we tracked and tracked and found some more blood and then it stopped.  Now it's raining.  I mistakenly left my phone in the truck, which has my wife not talking to me, so I didn't get any texts returned.  It was midnight when I got to my phone and I didn't want to disturb you guys.  There will be a grid search party tomorrow.  Meet at the Pickering Park and Ride off of Hwy. 3 at 9am if you guys can make it.  I will be answering texts tomorrow so if you see this after 9am and still want to help, test me.

Thanks again guys.

Thank you to all that helped yesterday and today.  No deer was found.  A few large splatters of blood lead me to believe the arrow cut into the diaphragm.  A few people who help said they believe the deer is alive and well with just a brisket shot, a few have said the deer is dead.  I believe he is dead.  After many hours yesterday and today, covering all reasonable ground we could and finding no blood past the last blood spot, I believe the deer is dead but, after 6 people were looking for it, I don't know if it is recoverable.  I have punched my tag and will wait for the crows.  House rules.  Unless you see the animal later still alive, you draw blood, you punch your tag.  I drive by there every day and will watch for signs of a dead animal.  Deer season ends on a sour note but elk still has 2 weekends
