Hey would it count as half a point if I could get a pic of a coyote alive before I shot it.

Here is the 2 point that ran him up on the rocks.  I if I would have my lens horizontal instead of vertical I'd got them both and it would have made a cool pic.  I tried to change the lens over and the coyote took off.

So have I.  It was funny to watch.

Here's a nice dark male from this am. 253 lasered yards. Shot with my 204 spitting out a 32gr V-Max. And yes Bullelk I remembered this time to jack one in the chamber before I shot. Nothing worse than hearing a click when you squeeze the trigger.  :chuckle:

Sounds good. I'm new to coyote hunting. Only one season so far, but I'm hooked. I'm going on a deer scouting trip to Western Idaho around Thanksgiving. I'll be driving up from around Portland to Priest River.  I'd be interested to find where there might be good public land for coyote hunting around that area on the Washington side or anywhere else along the route.  If of course anyone want's to part with that knowledge. LOL> You can email me at sss5358@earthlink.com.

Thanks, Steve

Is there anywhere that we can hunt? Is trapping allowed?

Never mind, read the rest of the rules, laws, whatever.

Here's a female from today, Took the shot at 60 yds as she was comin in from the 1st distressed bunny call at about the 3 or 4 minute mark. I was using the 204.

BullElk and SageBrushStalker got 3 but haven't posted any pics yet. Don't think they had a digital camera with them at the time and I wasn't with them. Told them to at least take a pic of the pelts and post.

Nice job guys.  Big10 is kicking some yote ass.  Adding points for rougheye and john, and I got 4 on film yesterday(2 points).  Saw 6 and two bobs, but only got 4 dogs on film.  I'll get some pics posted.  I even went out with team Selah the day before, but all he could come up with was a duck decoy and a green card..... :chuckle:

and by the way, I hit one going 80 just because.  Nice humane quick kill.....though not worth any points it was rather satisfying.  :)
