Smossy's getting closer

Got a visit today from Smossy.  After spending the morning crunching through the frozen brush and not seeing anything except a couple of stoners high as hell out "hunting", we headed back to my place for left over pizza and some warmth.  In the evening, we headed to a honey hole of mine and after freezing for a couple of hours, he got within 25 yards of a nice doe as she walked right towards us.  She knew we were there even though she didn't know.  She busted out before a shot could be taken and we reformulated a game plan for next weekend that hopefully will work.  Now I'm sippin' hot totties while he's stuck in traffic.

well from the looks of it next weekend will be a better bet, suppose to warm up a smidge, maybe some fresh powder to hunt in, well a fella cant hope right  good luck to you guys  cant wait for some pics

Unfortunately no.  My absence has been because I have a cold that has settled in in the past few hours.  I am currently trying to drown it in alcohol.  There was plenty of noise all around us but, with the full moon, nothing was willing to come out and play.  He'll be back tomorrow.  It will happen before the end of the year.  The deer are there, we are there, it just a matter of everything coming together on the same evening.

You're in for a treat Sebek.  Make sure you have chocolate on hand.  It helped me a little.  Water sucks, don't drink it

On a side note, I don't normally do hunting camps but if I did, Smossy would be invited anytime.  I have been most impressed with his silence.  I've been out with a few other people and Smossy has been the best at sitting there and being quiet.  I have said more than him so far while on the stand and that's saying something.
