Geese starting to move?
« on: November 05, 2008, 11:24:24 AM »
I left for work at 11:30 last night, and i heard a flock of geese flying overhead (obviously i couldnt see them it was too dark) but they sounded like they were a ways up, just curious if anyone has been out hunting and noticed some pre-migratory birds coming down.

I also saw a retaining pond near my house with a larger than usual amount of ducks and geese, needless to say i was

LoL i also saw a ton of potential sillouette decoys (political signs) on the side of the road now that the election is over, not sure if i wanna make sillos though.
Chupacabra: Spanish for mangy coyote.

I've been hearing some good stuff from the refuge staffs across WA, wigeon have started coming down.

Good start at least, haven't seen much in the way of geese though.
That's why it's called hunting and not killing.

Not sure where you two are seeing your birds...?
The areas around the tricities is increasing some.  Saw a large V of geese yesterday early.. I think they were coming off the collumbia and looking for food.  The ducks are circling well around Toppinish in the morning when the weather is right.

Eastside refuges here, been seeing a crap ton of birds lower spraque and at turnbull NWR but of course that doesn't mean much when they still in there.

Canada is starting to get cold, still need a week or two though.

Just a ton of local birds where I hunt. Most of them are the little guys too, with a few big honkers thrown in the mix.
