Drake Shoveler
« on: December 16, 2013, 07:53:59 PM »
Got lucky Sat @ Nisqually and shot a very good plumage drake Shoveler. Almost 100% breeding plumage. Probably the best I'm going to come up with and I hit it in the head/neck and the dog made a clean retrieve. Nice bird. I know, no pics. I actually forgot. Put it in a nylon stocking out in the blind then in a plastic bag and into the freezer when I got home.  Going to the taxidermist. I'll get a pic or two or when it's done being mounted.

Thanx. Looks just like that. Nice mount. I've got to decide on a pose.
