They have been in the bay in the mornings and some fly north and some go south.  Hit or miss on them being on the island.  To many hunters have access to the lands on Fir Island, so they get flock shot and have moved north.  Lots of smaller portions that are locked up, leased or not hunt able for multiple reason.  Safer area for the geese.  Minus the mid 20 year old collar hunters with there .22 / .22 mags and .17 hmrs picking them off alongside the road.

It's been very hit and miss this year.  They are all off of HWY 20 right now and very close to town.

Fir Island held the birds alot better when the farmers planted winter wheat now most are planting mustard for their cover crops. It's a shame with the thousands of snow's there are and most hunters cannot hunt them. The skagit and snohomish flocks are basically controlled by where the food is.

When I was out scouting for ducks I saw a lot of Snows near the Cook Road QH unit but in the field on the north side and also near Bow about a week ago. Saw a crap load just off I-5 on my drive back home on Sunday.

Not to sound negative, but where they at right now you won't just show up, knock on a door  and get on the property. Tough bird for a non-local to target cause they are so hard to scout ahead of time. You just don't know where they will be. Most people who come up from out of the area are dissapointed and end out skybusting on a dike somewhere as they are flying to/from roost. Sadly rendering theym undecoyable at this point in the season as well..........Good Luck

If you have good wind and movement decoys may work with a very large spread or a smaller spread of full bodies. Otherwise most are pass shooting them or the young guys are flock and ground pounding them while sneaking down ditch lines in the mud.
