The car is loaded, and sitting in th parking lot here at work.
I'm waiting for the magic hour when I can run out the door and start the drive North. Meeting the partner in Chewelah tonight. Its been a long season this year, just like last year. Although this time I've been on the opposite sde of the problems from where I was last season. Karma is cruel mistress, and her lessons have a timing, that if they weren't so frustrating, would be shear comic genuis.
I'll continue to work hard this weekend to put the new partner on a his first deer. We'll be around where I tagged my first, maybe a few new spots too. Don't have a lot of time to get this done. His shot comes first, but since I don't have an 8 ride home on Sunday, I may spend a bit more time in what's shaping up to be the wet, wet, woods.
Man i'm hoping we can manage a double header in two days or less, but if not it'll be decision time for next weekend. Ah the joys of working for a living and having pleasure pursuits away from the home. Obligations may prevent me from hunting the full weekend next week if it comes down to it, and they have most assuredly already sentenced me to hunting alone then.
So I ask for everyone to wish us luck this weekend, as I send it your way as well. And I wonder too, what would you if you could hunt next weekend Friday - Sunday, with a cabin near the Stampede unit, a 4 hour drive to Chewelah, and a promise to be in Seattle on Saturday night?
