It was a beautiful sunrise with a reward
« on: December 21, 2013, 03:20:15 PM »
I love the quality internet scouting reports. Second weekend in a row that the ice has been our friend. This was my limit for the morinng. We shot geese and a few ducks this morning. The dog looks tired from all the action.

East side. Somewhere between Yakima and Walla Walla. How's that for a report. There are plenty of geese flying around the Yakima Valley, finding the X with ducks was a little more difficult. But the ducks dove into the goose decoys  this morning. They were the bonus as we were targeting geese. Shooting 3.5 inch BB's on the ducks at 30 yards puts the smack down on them.

The Columbia River has been RED HOT. From Ringold to the mouth of the Walla Walla River. Only problem is that if you want a good place to hunt you have to be there at 10PM the night before or 11AM after the guys ahead limited out. But after a month of so of no change in the weather pattern the duck and geese are getting educated and its becoming more difficult to decoy them.
