Bino straps

I have been using the crooked horn straps for a long time now to get the weight off my neck.  I just picked up some new Vortex bino's and was wondering what you guys recommend for the new glass?  I would like something that keeps the bino's enclosed when not in use to keep the weather out of them.

 I just use something called a 'BinoBuddy'. It's less than $20 and cover your binos from the elements. It's not waterproof but I sprayed mine down with a light waterproof spray (I forget which one) and it works well. If it gets too nasty I'll leave the straps the way I normally carry them and tuck them inside my coat through the front opening. I also like the 'buddies' because of the zippered compartment on the front that I keep lens wipes, lens pen, and also a couple of lens cloths in. I've been using it for years and it works great. No drawbacks as far as I'm concerned.

G4 Lock Downs are not enclosed harnesses.  If you're looking for an enclose harness like you stated, look at models made by Badlands, Sitka, Crooked Horn, and Alaskan Guide Creations.  I've used them all, and prefer the Sitka, with the Badlands coming in second.

I just googled the lockdown, thanks for that D-Rock.  This is pretty much what I'm looking for.  I will look into the others mentioned as well.  Thanks for the responses guys.

I use the Nimrod binotopia system with harness and pouch. Works great . You can keep your bumps in the mouch to keep them protected or attach them directly to the harness for quick access. They are made in washington and a green company. Great customer service . Your welcome to check mine out if interested sometime. I have a new lockdown harness too if your interested.

My son and I both have the bino harness from Fish Hunt Fight Gear, absolutely love them, one of those products that when you get it, you actually are dumbfounded that you ever operated without it.

I have the Alaskan Guide Creation chest pack; it does its job really well.  I have a Nimrod harness; it does its job really well.  I use a BinoHide with the Nimrod harness.  But mostly, I don't like the bounce I get from binos on my chest, so I now use a Nimrod pouch on my pack's waist belt.  No bouncing. Weight is on my hips.  Easy access. I put a tether from the Swaros to the pouch that is just long enough to glass with, but keeps the binos from hitting the ground if I drop them.

I've had really good customer service from Jaret at Alaska Guide Creations and Nimrod.
