Boat detailing
« on: November 11, 2008, 04:01:03 PM »
I am looking to get my Aluminum boat detailed polished and lookin like new.  Does anybody have a place that they trust to take their boat to? I live in the Eatonville area and willing to travel to get to a top notch place for service. Recommendations would be great!

Check out www.ifish.net .  I remember reading several topics about it over the years.  Seems like there was a place down south.  I think you will be looking at a chunk of change for it though.  How big a boat do you have?  Let us know what you find out and where you go.

I do boat detailing, and can polish aluminum, but I charge alot!

I have the shop in a trailer, I'm Mobile, but Eatonville's too far away.

Good luck!

There is a guy in auburn that does this stuff who is good. Ill see if I can find out. He was pretty reasonable too.

You can save allot by cleaning it with sharkhide aluminum cleaner first. Awesome stuff. Will get to bare aluminum easily.

Once shinned, use sharkhide protectant to keep it shiny and inhibit oxidation. The stuff is like magic.

last i checked there is a place that does an awesome job in auburn but they are dicks :bash: when i called and the words "Aluminum fishing and polishing" came out of my mouth the guy proceeded to tell me they were really far out and someone would get back to me in 90 days. upon further Recon i find out they prefer only to do performance and show type stuff. the one aluminum boat i did see looked freaking AWESOME though! you coul shave in it!!
