The 5 pound weight for the SL5 is including the nest.  If you use the fly only it's much lighter.

I have an SL3, that I use for 2 people, and without the nest, it is only a couple of pounds.

I am contemplating dropping from three arrows down to two.

Haha that made me laugh I started out packing in a whole box of ammo 20 rnds I wittled it down to eight one year but I am back to twelve never even came close to needing that many. But feels good having a few extra.    I am changing my tent this year i have always used a 30 dollar 6 pound tent it was good for 5 high hunts and numerous summer outings but the poles were flimsy and getting worse every year i was sure it was going to collapse on our last hunt so I bought a kelty that was on sale it's not lightweight but the poles are really stout feeling and it was in my price range

I got a new Sitka pack, and a Sitka Kelvin jacket. I'm planning on getting a new super light stove and Big Agnes tent, as well as some new Vortex binos.  I really can't drop anything, I already carry only the basics. I am hoping my antlers will weigh significantly more, though:)

Well I added a new pack for starters.  I'm also adding the Big Razor HD spotter to the arsonal this year.  Thats about it.  I have gone lightweight and upgraded everything in the last few years.  New arrows are on the hit list as well this year.

New Hillenberg "Allak" model tent.  I also bought the inner mesh tent and a tarp for early season camping.

Either Maxima Hunters or Easton A/C/C's.  Gonna try and lose my last 5 Axis's this turkey season, then I will make a decision :chuckle:

I have added a set of Kenetrek Mountain Extremes, Caribou Gear Game bags, some arrows to replace the ones my bull bull busted last year, and picked up a Outdoor Edge Razor Blaze. Same concept as Havlon but a little more substantial blade.  Other than that a new arrow rest (mines 4 yrs old) and always on the lookout for merino base layers at a good price.  Want to keep everything under $1000 this year. (Including permits and gas)

I just sold my dt2 and ordered a nomad from Kifaru.  The modularity it offers for backcountry hunts is exciting.  Zero out of pocket for the switch.  Will post a pic in a few months when I get it .
