with regards to game bags I vacume pack them so they do not take up much room and it gives me a bag for the heart and liver.

When going back country I do the same.  I'll place a garbage bag or two with the game bags and seal them up together.  If the pack is not too far I'll use the garbage bags to keep my pack clean.  If the pack is long I can put gear in the garbage bag and secure to the outside of the pack if needed.  And of course on the occasion when I forget my rain gear  :bash:  I at least have the poor man's poncho.

Added a range finder, Replaced the tins of sardines and replaced the game bags, cause I used them :chuckle:  with regards to game bags I vacume pack them so they do not take up much room and it gives me a bag for the heart and liver.

I do this too.

Just an idea...  I spray some lemon juice on my game bags, then sprinkle pepper on them, then vacuum seal them.  It helps keep the bees and hornets away when you are dressing out and packing out your animal.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

i upgraded my tent to the easton kilo 3p for my partner an i. he hauls the small tarp. along with that is a small stainless steel cup from cabelas that i can fit my nalgene bottle inside. so save a little pack space. gonna use a bladder this year, and throw in a kaytaden base water filter instead of a colapsable container (was short on money last year). tuna packets an ramen for lunches.

The Paratarp is kind of small. If you plan on taking your wife or a partner, you may want to get the Supertarp.

It looks like you are planning some back pack type hunts. The Highcamp 4800, will easily hold all of your camping and hunting gear, but if you get an animal down, you won't have enough room to pack your gear and meat. You could sandwich a boned out deer between the frame and bag, if you want to go that route.

Which more then likely at some point my girl will be with me if not always.
I want something that I'm going to be able to get some good use out of. But at the same time I don't want a HUGE pack, but I don't want a tiny one like I have now, It just doesnt hold enough of anything. It doesn't distribute the weight very well either, hurts my back after awhile.
I was also kinda looking at the GoLite Shangri-La 5 but at a weight of 5lbs+ Im kinda iffy.
