Sunday hunt
« on: January 20, 2014, 10:42:33 PM »
I took an 11 year old hunter out to my pond this weekend. He is a little guy. Shoots a Baretta in 3-1/2". The gun is almost a big as he is. He is an exceptional shot. He got a double early, Drake and hen Pintail, his first pintails. Then shot a number of mallards. We had 300-400 birds in the air at legal light again. The fog was thick. We had birds the whole time we sat in the blind.
We shot a Mallard Drake that has a Hen Bill and half of a hen Head coloring. Great day and a BLAST with GAGE once again. His first double he YELLED " I GOT 2" It was an awsome time.

The dogs were all about the birds on Saturday. They both figured out the blind is also easy to see under. 10 Month old pup on left. 2 year old on the right.

Wow.  That kid would put me to shame.  I'm not even sure if I have actually hit a duck yet...
