I put the shurshot (?) thumbhole on mine last season and couldn't be happier.  Tames the recoil considerably as well as very comfortable when holding for long call setups.  Well worth the $90 or whatever I paid for it (can't remember).

I recently got a thumbhole stock for my 10-22 from Boyd's.  Saw in their catalog that they make 870 stocks, too.  Can't remember if they are thumbhole or not, but they have a website.  Good place to start.  They sure make some pretty stocks.
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

You guys looking for thumbholes, check out Boyd's gun stocks and Stockey's (?)  They make laminate thumbholes for most guns.

BLR are you coming down my way again this year for turkey season?
You bet!  Kind of my home away from home in april and may!  With some luck though I will be in the blue's chasing bears though.

Let me know maybe we can do a hunt. I can call and you can sit behind the gun.

I like it!  Except we might have to flip a coin on who is shooting because we both know which is more fun!
