Jim Ebel buck score
« on: February 20, 2014, 06:25:15 AM »
I received the following email from Jim Ebel about the large whitetail he got in late archery season. There was a entry and pictures on Dec 6 2013  on this forum about this buck.

"So I had it officially scored today and I was pretty dam close.
186.6 gross  172.4 net. So the guy gets out the State Records
Book and turns out, it's the #2 typical, archery whitetail in WA.
State! WHAT!!!! No way I said. So of course I paid my 20 dollars
to get in that book and 45 more to get in the P & Y book where it
ranks 493rd nationally. This sounds bad until you see there's 49,000
entries nationwide. So I'm like in the Fortune 500 of bucks.

Oh, and the #1 buck in WA. is 175 & change. Nontropical is 224"

That was an awesome buck!

It may be #2 in that book and should be #1 with that fraud at the top

I do know of several typicals taking bigger than 173" and one was mid 180's with a bow
