This is actually several months old and there's a long thread about it somewhere.  This elk had to be put down, shortly after this video was taken.

at 4:40 he finally decides to cover his head and neck with his arm. but I think he was more interested in protecting his hat at that point. I'm glad he's ok but wow, what'a clown

They ended up killing the elk because it had lost its fear of humans and "became aggressive" when seeking food from them.
