How To Select A Variable Power Scope
I like a little higher power scope than is recommended in this video at various ranges, but this is a good breakdown of what's available to help you decide what's best for you.

How to Bore Sight a Rifle Scope the Old Fashioned Way
This is very easy method that will get you on paper before firing your gun, I use this method all the time, no bore sighting tool is needed. The first video uses a gun vice and the second video is in the field without a gun vice. The third video is a two shot method that works well for semi-autos or to check a gun that is already close. Once sighted in exactly how you want at 100 or 200 yards you may want to shoot twice more for a 3 shot group to confirm your sighting and check how good of group you can shoot with your gun.
Using a gun vice at home

Sighting on the range without a gun vice.
HOW TO BORE SIGHT A RIFLE
How to Sight-In with Two Shots
Bolt Action -
After bore sighting your rifle this method can be used to finish sighting at the range.
Semi-Auto -
Because you can't look down the barrel to bore sight semi-auto rifles use this method first at 25 yards with your semi-auto. After sighting at 25 yards move the target to 100 yards and repeat the process.
